Menu item availability

What does each Availability option mean?

There are a few Availability options for each menu item, that decide how the items are displayed, who can see them, and where.

"Available"

Everyone can see and order these items.

"Out of Stock"

Everyone can see the item, but it is greyed out and will say "Out of stock", and cannot be ordered by anyone.

"Merchant Only"

Only the merchant can see and order the item (it's not visible to customers). This is for items like birthday cakes for example, where staff may want to submit the order to the kitchen and track how many were sold, but they don't want customers to be able to order it.

"Unavailable"

Not visible to anyone anywhere (not even staff can see it when ordering through our POS), but the item remains in the Menu section so it can be made Available later and sales data can continue for the same item later.

Updates to menu availability can take up to 5 minutes to reflect on the customer app side, so give it a few minutes and check again.
