The buffet feature in the POS is designed to efficiently handle all-you-can-eat dining options. It helps your restaurant streamline operations by managing pricing, tracking dining time, and monitoring guest counts.
How to use this buffet feature?
To use the buffet feature, select a buffet package and enter the headcount to initiate the order. Orders can be managed by grouping menus, which can be accessed under the Menu section.
‼️ Important: Do note that when a customer scans the QR code, they will not be able to view the buffet menu until a staff member selects the buffet package.
How does it work?
Introduced a flow where staff selects a buffet package and headcount to initiate orders, managed through grouped menus (accessible under the Menu section).
Customers scanning the QR code won’t see the menu until a package is selected. Total price = (Headcount × Package Price) + Ordered Item Prices.
Once the dining duration is exceeded, customers can no longer add items. A countdown timer is shown in the customer app. Payments can be completed by either the customer or staff.
A countdown timer will be displayed once on the customer app once buffet menu is initiated by staff from the POS. However, payment can still be initiate by staff and customer.
How to use?
For staff
Open a new order on POS > select the buffet package > select number of guest > finalize the order. Do verify the calculation matches [(headcount * package price) + extra items].
For customer
Once staff add buffet to the order, menu group item will appear on customer app and price of the menu item should follow the price criteria set in the group.
