Sometimes customers order items that are not on the menu. For example, they may request a certain cocktail that you can make but haven't already created an item for on your menu. You could of course put in another item name with the same price, but then a wrong item will be reflected on the bill and in your sales data.
Enter: open items. This is the option to add items on the fly, just for that one time. You quickly enter a name and price, and you're good to go.
In the POS screen, simply open the table order you want to add the item to, and tap "+ Open item" at the top.
Once clicked, you enter the name and price.
And just like that, it will be reflected everywhere for both staff and customers.
