What kind of insights can you find on each dashboard, and how do you use them?

Papaya's Insights dashboards are updated with new helpful insights very frequently, so there might be more on your dashboard than what you see here

Today

Everything you need to understand today's performance and make immediate decisions.

All insights on the Today dashboard:

  • Repeat Customers Dining Now: of your current customers, who has been here before, how many times, how much do they spend, etc.

  • Repeat Customer's Favorites: what the repeat customers order the most

  • Today's Reviews: ratings and comments made in Papaya today

  • Orders: todays' orders (completed ones and still open ones) compared to the last seven days

  • GMV: today's gross merchandise value (basically your revenue plus service charge and tax) compared to the last seven days

  • Payment methods: percentage split between each payment method for today and the last seven days

  • Category Sales Contribution: how much of the day's sales are coming from each of your categories

  • Channel GMV: GMV per channel to see which tables or other channels are performing best

  • Best Sellers: top selling items for the day

Trends

Performance over time to find insights on how your business is progressing and if your initiatives are working.

All insights on the Trends dashboard:

Totals

  • Orders: total orders for the selected time period

  • Total (excl. Tip): total GMV for the selected time period (Bill + SC + Tax)

  • Bill: total item value for the selected time period

  • Service Charge: total service charge for the selected time period

  • Tax: total tax for the selected time period

  • Tip: total tip for the selected time period

Over time

  • Orders & GMV: # orders and GMV per week

  • Average GMV per order: basket size per week

  • This Week's Orders vs Same Day in Previous Weeks: how for example this Thursday's sales compares to previous Thursdays

  • Menu GMV Contribution: % sales from each menu (eg drinks vs food) per week

  • Peak Hours: average throughput (# items ordered) per hour-of-the-day and per day-of-the-week

  • Payment methods: percentage split between each payment method per week

  • Repeat vs New Customers: % of customers that are repeat customers vs first-time customers per week

  • Order Summary by Day: summary of each day's performance for the selected time period in download-friendly format

Items

Item-level orders and sales in any time period to understand each item's performance.

All insights on the Items dashboard:

  • Best Sellers: each item's quantity and sales contribution performance

  • Option Sales: each option's sales quantity

Channels

Understand the productivity of each channel and what's driving it.

All insights on the Channels dashboard:

  • Channel Orders & GMV: comparing each channel's performance overlaying GMV and orders

  • Partner Channel Commission: summarizing how much commission (GP) you're paying to third party partners (eg delivery apps)

  • Channels: all data per channel in a download friendly format

Orders

Easily downloadable view of every order's details.

Menu

Beyond how each menu item is doing, understand what is driving it and what to do about it.

All insights on the Menu dashboard:

  • Menu Item Performance: shows whether each item's performance is driven by many customers trying it or by customers repeat ordering it, and what to consider doing in each scenario

  • Menu Item Performance table: download friendly format for more analysis

Outlets

How performance compares across each of your outlets (if you have more than one location).

All insights on the Outlets dashboard:

  • Orders by Outlet: order contribution by outlet

  • GMV by Outlet: GMV contribution by outlet

  • Avg Order GMV by Outlet: how basket size (GMV) compares across outlets

  • Avg Items per Order by Outlet: how basket size (# items) compares across outlets

  • Orders per Channel by Outlet: how channel type performance (# orders) differs across outlets

  • GMV per Channel by Outlet: how channel type performance (GMV) differs across outlets

  • Payment Method by Outlet: how payment method splits compare across outlets

  • Meal Duration by Outlet: table turn speed across outlets

  • Items by Outlet: how do the same items perform across each outlet (in the case you share the same items across your outlets' menus)

Reviews

See all ratings and comments data in aggregate and over time.

All insights on the Reviews dashboard:

  • Avg Rating: average star rating

  • # Reviews: how many people gave star ratings

  • % Redirected: how many of those who gave ratings were redirected to the external reviews page you've chosen

  • Count per Rating: how many did you get of each star rating level

  • Ratings by Day: number of ratings overlayed on average rating for each day of the last week

  • Reviews Overview: every rating and comment you've received
