How do customers earn Papaya Credits and what does it mean for your business?

Customers who pay through Papaya have the option to pay 1% extra on their total bill in exchange for 5% of their bill in Papaya Credits that can be redeemed on their next order.

This is entirely optional for the customer, and is only possible for customers that are logged in to their Papaya account.

The 1% is a purchase the customer makes from Papaya, while the 5% sits as virtual credits the customer can use on their next meal at either one of your outlets or any other outlet. This means neither the 1% nor the 5% on the transaction impacts your business during the transaction. It only impacts you if you decide to accept credit redemption at your outlet so that customers can spend their credits with you later (during the times and within the rules you allow)

These credits can be redeemed at any outlet across the Papaya ecosystem. This means that you can retarget your own loyal customers but you can also target new customers who have never been to your restaurant.
