Menu Changelog — Track Every Menu Edit
Every time a menu item or menu option is edited, Papaya records the change so you can trace exactly who made it, when it happened, and what was updated. This is especially useful for teams with multiple outlet managers, for tracking price changes, and for reviewing staff activity.
What's tracked
Area | What gets logged |
Base menu items | Name, description, price, sale price, price per channel, availability, tags, option groups |
Base menu options | Name, value, price, price per channel |
Outlet-level menu items | Overrides applied to a menu item at a specific outlet, including availability flipped by inventory |
Outlet-level menu options | Overrides applied to a menu option at a specific outlet |
Deletes | Deleted menu items are captured with a full snapshot taken just before deletion |
How to view history
Open the menu you want to inspect (Settings → Base Menus, or the outlet-level Menu page)
Click the ⋯ action menu on any menu item or option
Select Menu item changes (or Option changes)
Filter by Today, Previous 7 days, or Previous 30 days
Each entry shows:
The person who made the change, or System when Papaya made the change automatically (for example, availability turned off because an ingredient ran out)
The fields that changed, with the previous value struck through and the new value highlighted
The exact timestamp in your local timezone
For price-per-channel edits, a per-channel breakdown (including partner channels like your Foodpanda or LINE MAN configurations)
Examples
Price change — "Anna updated Price (all channels) from ฿120 to ฿135"
Per-channel price — "Somchai updated Price per channel — Dine in ฿120 → ฿130, Delivery ฿140 → ฿150"
Availability flipped by inventory — "System updated Availability — Available → Not available"
Option group changes — "Manager added Option group: Spice Level"
Deletion — "Anna deleted menu item Pad Thai" (with the full menu item snapshot captured at the moment of deletion)
‼️ The changelog only captures changes made after this feature is enabled for your account. Historical changes from before the rollout are not retroactively added.
FAQ
Can I edit or delete an entry? No — the log is read-only, which is what makes it trustworthy for audit.
Can I see who viewed the log? The log captures edits only, not views.
How far back does it go? You can filter up to the last 30 days on menu entities.
What if I change a partner channel name? The old name is preserved in the changelog so historical entries stay accurate.
