Ticket Splitting & Copies

Print each order item on a separate ticket and configure up to 10 copies per ticket

Two settings in your ticket printer groups give you control over how kitchen and bar tickets are printed: One item per ticket splits each order item onto its own ticket, and Ticket copies prints duplicates of each ticket.

One item per ticket

When enabled, each order item prints on a separate ticket instead of all items being grouped onto one. This is useful for kitchens where different stations handle different items, or bars where each drink is prepared individually.

Setting

Default

Effect

Off (default)

All items for a printer group print on one ticket

On

Each item prints on its own ticket

‼️ When one item per ticket is enabled, the Order item sorting option disappears — it’s no longer needed since each ticket only has one item.

Ticket copies

Print multiple copies of each ticket. Each copy is labelled in the header (e.g. "Copy 1 of 3", "Copy 2 of 3") so staff can tell them apart.

Setting

Range

Number of copies

1 (default) to 10 maximum

Copies are sent as separate print jobs, so print order between copies isn’t strictly guaranteed. Since all copies are identical, this shouldn’t cause issues in practice.

How to set up

  1. Go to Settings → Direct Printing → Printer Groups

  2. Create a new group or edit an existing one

  3. Set the Document Type to Ticket

  4. Configure One item per ticket and Ticket copies as needed

Good to know

  • These settings only apply to tickets — not receipts

  • Cancellation tickets are not affected by these settings

  • When both are enabled together, each item prints on its own ticket, and each ticket prints the configured number of copies

  • Order item sorting modes (grouped by menu category or created by time) only apply when one item per ticket is off
