How do I turn it on?
Settings > Pacing
Toggle ON Hold & Fire order items to enable hold and fire order items.
Toggle ON Include held order items on a ticket, to still print items that are being held on the kitchen tickets (with a "hold" note). Do note that held order items won't be printed again as "fire" until you fire them.
How do I use it?
Once turned on in Settings, when you add an item in an order, by default the item will be set to fire (as seen below with the toggle set to the red 🔥). If you wish, you can toggle the item to hold (which will look like the grey toggle below), to delay it being sent to the kitchen.
If an item is being held, those items will be moved to held section. Staff can fire items to the kitchen by toggling to fire any time.
‼️ Important note
Staff will not be able to complete the order if there are remaining menu items being held. They will be reminded to either fire or delete the items if they try to close the order in this state.
