You can configure how order totals are rounded at each outlet. This is useful for markets where cash transactions need whole-number totals, or where local regulations require specific rounding behaviour.

The 4 rounding options

Navigate to Settings → Outlets → Order Total Rounding and choose one:

Option

What it does

Example (฿99.50)

No rounding

Total is shown exactly as calculated

฿99.50

Round up

Always rounds up to next whole unit

฿100

Round down

Always rounds down to previous whole unit

฿99

Round nearest

Rounds to closest whole unit (.50+ rounds up)

฿100

How rounding is applied

Rounding happens after all other calculations:

  1. Bill total (sum of items)

  2. + Service charge

  3. + Tax

  4. - Discounts / Papaya Credits

  5. = Rounding applied here

  6. = Final amount due

The rounding amount appears as a separate line on the bill (e.g. "Rounding: +฿0.50" or "Rounding: -฿0.25"), so both staff and customers can see exactly what was adjusted.

‼️ Rounding is configured per outlet. Different outlets can have different rounding settings.
