🎉 Papaya Layout 2.0🎉

We are excited to share Papaya Layout 2.0! This is an upgraded experience designed to make your operations more efficient. It includes five improved features and seven brand-new features. Check out the details below to help you and your team get familiar!

You can now edit the guest count directly within the order (don't worry, you can still add the guest count when you open the order as well!)

The order panel has now been split into "Sent" (items that have been sent to the kitchen), "Unsent" (items in the basket), and "Held" (items being temporarily held before being sent to the kitchen). When you add item(s) to an order, they will first appear in the Unsent basket, and will stay there until you want to send or hold them - this gives you the option to hold items until your customer is ready. Read more about "Hold & fire" below.

You can now quickly jump to difference Menus and Categories from the Menu dropdown in the top left. This gives you more space on your main screen to see and select items.

To add an open item, click the plus icon (+) and fill in the requested details if you'd like to see it organized in your reports (eg sales by menu and by category).

Click the three dots icon ( ⋮ ) to view and select actions such as:

The Hold & Fire feature gives you control over when items are sent to the kitchen.

You can hold items until the right time and fire them when your customer is ready - for example if they order appetizers, mains, and desserts at the same time but you want to control the flow of tickets to the kitchen.

Best sellers are now pinned at the top of your menu so you can quickly access the most popular items without searching the full menu. This list updates once a week based on your sales.

You can now navigate between your open orders without leaving the menu screen (don't worry, you can always exit out of the order to go back to your Orders tab and floorplan view, like before)

The timer shows how long an order has been open, helping you track service levels, waiting time, etc. Use this to ensure no order is forgotten and no customers are kept waiting or alone for too long.

The Make Another Item button allows you to quickly order the same item again for any order/table, with the possibility to change the selected options/modifiers

Similar to the Make Another Item button, this allows you to quickly order the same item again, but with the exact same options/modifiers, helping you save time when a customers simply asks for 'one more'

On mobile and tablet devices, you can also swipe left to access the Repeat Item button (as well as the Remove Item button)
