Papaya can track your physical cash drawer end to end — so at the end of a shift you know exactly how much cash should be in the till, and why.
What you get
Cash sessions — open the drawer with a counted float, close it with a counted balance, and Papaya tells you if you’re over or short.
Petty cash — record money taken out (supplier payments, ice runs, tips out) or put in (change top-up), each with a reason. The drawer pops automatically.
Automatic tracking — every cash sale, refund, and tip is added to the drawer’s expected balance for you. Nothing to key in twice.
Reports — a session history with over/short per shift, and a full movement timeline for investigation.
Where to find it
Setup: Settings → Direct Printing → Cash drawers — Setting Up Cash Drawers
Daily use: the Cash drawer button on the Orders page — Cash Sessions & Petty Cash at the POS
Reports: Reports → Cash Sessions and Cash Movements — Cash Sessions & Cash Movements Reports
The Cash drawer button and both reports appear automatically once your outlet has a cash drawer set up — there’s nothing to enable.
