Let customers pay via QR without seeing the menu — for staff-ordered dine-in and counter service

A Payment Only channel lets customers pay for an order that staff have already placed on the POS — without being able to browse or order from the menu. The customer scans a QR code and goes straight to the payment screen.

When to use this

  • Traditional dine-in restaurants where staff take orders verbally and customers pay at the end via QR

  • Counter-service operations where staff enter the order and the customer taps to pay

  • Any scenario where you want QR payment but don’t want customers browsing or ordering from the app

How to enable

  1. Go to Channels

  2. Open the channel you want to make payment-only (e.g. a dine-in table)

  3. Toggle on Payment Only

  4. Save

Customer flow

  1. Staff places the order on the POS as normal

  2. Customer scans the QR code on their table

  3. Instead of seeing the menu, they see the payment screen with the order total

  4. Customer selects a payment method and completes payment

Supported channel types

Payment Only works with: Dine-in, Prepay Dine-in, Prepay Takeaway, and Prepay Delivery channels.

‼️ When Payment Only is enabled, customers scanning the QR code will not see the menu at all — only the payment screen. Make sure your staff knows to enter the order on the POS first.
